Air France is recognized by World Travel Awards as “Europe’s Leading Airline in 2023”

At the World Travel Awards, Air France won the coveted title of Europe’s Leading Airline for the upcoming year 2023. Nine other European airlines were vying for the same honor, giving the national carrier of France intense competition.

Europe’s Leading Airline 2023 was celebrated at the 30th World Travel accolades ceremony on September 29 in Batumi, Georgia, along with numerous other accolades honoring great airlines, locations, and attractions across the globe.

The other nine airlines competing for this prestigious honor were:

Britannia Air

Iberia

KLM Icelandic Dutch Airlines Royal

Lufthansa

SAS Norwegian Airlines

Airline: Swiss International

Select Air Portugal

Istanbul Airlines

The Europe’s Leading Airline – Economy Class 2022 accolade was given to Air France the year before. At that time, Fabien Pelous, SVP of Air France, presented details about the company’s future objectives while reiterating their dedication to providing great customer service.

They won an outstanding trifecta of prizes in 2023: Europe’s Leading Airline 2023, Europe’s Leading Airline – First Class 2023, and Europe’s Leading Airline Brand 2023, so it’s clear that their hard work has paid off.

When Air France won their first award in the category of Leading Airline – First Class in the Indian Ocean in 2005, their quest toward recognition officially began. Since then, they have collected an astonishing total of eleven honors, including titles like “World’s Leading Airline – Premium Economy Class 2022,” “Europe’s Leading Airline – Business Class 2021,” and “Europe’s Leading Airline – Economy Class 2015.”

A stunning 83 million passengers will be carried by the airline in 2022, according to information made public by the Air France KLM Group. With revenue of €386 million and net income of €324 million, the second quarter of 2022 saw substantial growth. This is an outstanding €1.8 billion increase over the same period the previous year.

In a significant move, Air France is set to be named the official partner for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, as stated in their official press release. This follows their designation as Europe’s Leading Airline in 2023.
